There are many methods for animating characters. This report will highlight the procedural route and acknowledge titles that have succeeded with it. I'll identify the benefits and drawbacks of the main character animation methods used in video games. As someone who created a game with active ragdolls, I'll be further analyzing this area to learn more about the methods available to animators. Will we see this used more frequently in future games and genres? Where can this technique be used on a larger scale and evolve the industry standard for future releases? I’ll highlight the importance of secondary animation and how it improves believability.......
