Using Digital Interaction to Enhance Museum Experiences (Report)

Museums are at the core of preserving and displaying evidence of daily life encompassing religion, foods, art, and any other artifacts that make a culture unique (Brown, 2016). In history courses and books there’s often biased for the dominant culture in history ignoring the minority cultures with history to be told. Museums are a medium where visitors can learn about these missed cultures in history. 

Museums are critical to preventing culture and language loss. Accessibility for this platform needs to increase. Although there are examples of digital interaction in museums, there’s yet to be an app in the museum space that’s hit mainstream media. Smartphones should be used more willingly by museums as over 6.37 billion people own one (Turner, 2021). To prevent culture loss, museums must appeal to younger generations and teach through other methods.............
